Homebuyer Reports are intended for particular types of property; namely houses, flats or bungalows, which are:
 
  • Conventional in type and construction
  • Apparently in reasonable condition 
 
Where the property is unusual in construction, is dilapidated or has been extensively altered, it would be wise to consider a Building Survey as an alternative to the Homebuyer Report.
